Start the new year off with a healthy attitude and armed with information.  Did you know that the UCONN Medical Center's Library provides a wealth of free information?  Check out their site at the Lyman Maynard Stowe Library.  Here are a few links they provide that may make your life easier:

This is a government website focused on the new Health Care Reform Act, including online option for comparing health care plans within each state.

National Committee for Quality Assurance
A private, nonprofit organizatin, the NCQA accredits health plans in all fifty states. Their Report Card compares selected health plans within a state and assign star ratings for each plan.

Department of Health and Human Services
Would you like to be able to read recommendations for treating your medical condition - in a language you will understand?  DHHS provides online consumer guides that summarize treatment information and that are written in plain language without medical jargon. 

The CT Parent Advocacy Center
This is a free statewide nonprofit organization that offers information and support to families of children with any disability or chronic illness, birth through age 26.  CPAC also offers training workshops for parents and educators.
